Estimates suggest that up to 30% of Addis Ababa’s population lives below the national poverty line, and almost half of all residents are considered poor or at risk of falling into poverty.  We target this capital city’s poorest families, those who reside in the most dangerous and destitute conditions.  We help lift them from squatter settlements to a better quality of life.

While saturating our clients with the life-transforming Word of God, we seek to remove them from the slums and dilapidated housing into modest rental units with adequate sanitation facilities, reliable electricity, and consistent access to safe drinking water in safe neighborhoods by establishing them in microbusinesses that align with their unique passion, talents, and abilities.

Currently, the families we target have no income or means to earn income aside from selling their bodies or begging in the streets. Many do this to feed their children and grandchildren. Household food insecurity is a constant reality for these families.

When you don’t know where your family's next meal will come from, adequate shelter, clothing, education, and medical help can feel like distant dreams. Our goal is to help these vulnerable women, through Christ, find ongoing, sustainable ways to provide these life necessities for themselves and their children.
