A New Year Tribute

This September 11, as Ethiopia welcomes the dawn of a new year, The Ephraim Project will give each family in our program a dozen eggs and a live chicken. Most of these families are led by single mothers and grandmothers. For many of these women and their children, the gift of fresh eggs and chicken is a rare and treasured feast—some tasting meat only a handful of times in their lives. Sharing this special treat during the Ethiopian New Year is more than a gift of love or an act of kindness; it is a tribute to their courage and a step toward a brighter, more abundant year ahead.
