Our New Ministry Home
We are delighted to share some exciting news in this edition of “Hope in Action.” After months of searching and prayer, God’s Love in Action has found a new home for our ministry in Addis Ababa! With a limited budget and the need for a safe, accessible location close to the families we serve, the search was challenging. Yet, last month, the Lord provided the perfect space—leased from a gracious Muslim family—demonstrating how God works across boundaries for His purposes. This

Mikael's Medical Care
Doctors diagnosed Mikael with a mental deficiency, which caused him to struggle with balance and experience sudden falls two to three times a week. Life was difficult for Mikael and his family because the government hospital couldn't provide the help he desperately needed. We selected our participants—all in their twenties and facing significant challenges in their personal live

A New Year Tribute

Most of these families are led by single mothers and grandmothers. For many of these women and their children, the gift of fresh eggs and chicken is a rare and treasured feast—some tasting meat only a handful of times in their lives. Sharing this special treat during the Ethiopian New Year is more than a gift of love or an a

Solar Bibles
We're excited to introduce one of our latest GLIA initiatives: solar Bibles. Recognizing the challenges many of our clients face because they cannot read or write but deeply desire to learn God’s Word, we have taken steps to make the Scriptures more accessible. Recently, we ordered and received six solar Bibles in the Amharic language from Faith Comes By Hearing. These devices are powered by sunlight, making them especially practical for communities with limited access to ele

Honored by City Officials
In recent months, Addis Ababa city officials began receiving complaints regarding the work of God’s Love in Action in the city slums. Some critics accused the organization of “selling the Gospel” by providing aid to the poor, questioning the motives behind the outreach efforts. These concerns prompted city authorities to launch a thorough investigation into the group’s activities and our impact on vulnerable communities. After an in-depth review, officials found that God’s Lo
